Disruptions and threats can come in different ways, at unexpected times and at various locations.

It is important to be aware of your surroundings and see the signals of a potential threat before it escalates into something more serious. Whether you are commuting, travelling, shopping or dinning. Do so with confidence whether you are by your self or out with family and friends.

We don’t want to be in a position where we are caught off guard and freeze. This Personal Safety course will teach you how to apply rapid responses under stressful situations.

Navigate through life with confidence and know when and how to evade a potential disturbance or threat before it escalates further and learn how to de-escalate and control a situation when there is no other option but to defend yourself or your loved ones.

Not everyone can afford a long term commitment to learning a Martial Art or Self Defence training. This is why Nick had set up this 9-hour course, which is split over 3 days that provides enough knowledge to give you a foundation in threat management and reality based self defence.

It is important to know what our strengths and weaknesses are so we can utilise what we can for when we need it most.

Safety comes first, awareness above everything.

MODULE 1: Distance control management and practical Self-defence against an unarmed physical threat - 2.5 hours

De-escalate from an oncoming threat and control the long range distance.

Day 1 covers:

  • Travel security

  • Situational/Spatial awareness

  • Understanding body language

  • Understanding different levels of threats

  • Flight, fight - freeze mode.

  • Evacuate/escape/cover

  • Breaking the Freeze

  • Steps to take if you are being followed

  • UK Law in relation to Self-defence

  • Conflict control readiness

  • Verbal defence/compliance

  • Distance control management

  • 360 degree defence against an unarmed attack

  • Close and long range striking for Self defence

  • Concepts to overcome multiple attackers

MODULE 2: Breaking the grip against grabs & holds from a standing position to get away - 3.5 hours

The threat has closed the distance and now has a hold of you.

Day 2 covers:

  • Recap from Module 1

  • Frames

  • Stand up wrestling

  • Defence and release from physical grabs and holds

MODULE 3: Surviving the fight on the ground - 3.5 hours

You end up on the ground, not by choice. You must get up as soon as possible

  • Recap from module 1 & 2

  • Easy to learn takedowns for the street

  • Ground fighting for the street

  • Ground defence and recover back to your feet safely
